Dr. Kureshi is a Harvard trained board certified weight loss doctor who performs weight loss surgery in  Sherman, Denison, Durant, McKinney, and Dallas.  He is the founder of the Weight Loss Surgery Program at Texoma Medical Center.

Dr. Kureshi is a native Texan who grew up in the Houston area and attended Rice University.  He completed medical school at Texas Tech University School of Medicine in Lubbock.  He then  dis his general surgery residency at the University of Connecticut in Hartford, CT where his interest in bariatric surgery and laparoscopic surgery began.  He completed the Harvard Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship in Boston, MA where he specialized in the  laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, and duodenal switch procedures.
